Tour Guide BusinessAs long as you enjoy being around people, you can enjoy the fun lifestyle of a tour guide operator - you don't even have to like traveling.

Whether you decide you want to travel the world as a tour guide - or simply provide tours in your local area, there are more opportunities than you can imagine. Tourists will pay to be entertained and learn or experience something unique and interesting - even if you find it "commonplace" because it's in your own backyard. Tour Guide Experts Cherie Anderson and Marc Mancini have worked in the field of tourism for many years. They also have a great track record of training others to be successful in the tour guide industry. Learn from their years of experience, and you can do well in this field full of opportunities.

Also, I noticed the senior travel business page people might be interested in. I've got a friend who's started working in that field, and he says he has more customers than he can handle. http://www.homebusinesscenter.com/how_to_start/senior_travel_business.html

There's a woman who runs a "local" tour business in NYC - locations for TV shows and movies. Sounds like from what she says, the tour business is rebounding and business is doing well. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/28/nyregion/28small_web.html?ref=smallbusiness
